I started 3 decades ago, back with strokes, with perplexing lines of reality... I continued to experiment with images like a child who has no age limit...  Four months ago I started a new project throwing ideas into a simmering slow cooking pot... I profoundly allowed the emotions of dreams that do not sleep or change their essence.  I would only open the pot to enjoy fragrance, interweaving threads, textures, cloths and most of all the colors.  Exhaling words that spark the communication with the spectator; and the "rebozo" (shawl) is like an expression of valor, from an embrace, with interior warmth and protection.

A free spirited individual with so many talents; an established painter, writer, editor, art teacher, English teacher and photographer, living in Guadalajara Mexico, for the last 20 years.

As an expressionist painter, she developed powerful brush strokes that extended beyond the edge of a canvas to indefinitely suspend an unveiled artistry.  She understood the order of elegant expression, the inventiveness of prose, love and passion in her art and conveyed it in a multi-lingual experience.

Lyana was simply timeless in her art, she as one-of-one uncompromising in her artistic vision, invites the viewer to explore the dimensional depth of their subjective minds.

Her art expanded the margins of time, she sought to express elegance through her work and creativeness born to her connection to the celestial.

Her body of work is based on a recognition of an artistic creative genius whose contributions to our world benefit the cultural and intellectual life now and the support of future achievements of others.

Lyana Marina Lopez Lobo

Museum quality restorer of deco jewels and bakelite bags for over 20+ years in Soho, New York City.  Her restorations have been published in Carry me! 1950s Lucite Handbags, An American Fashion,  Antique Collectors' Club Ltd.

Lyana received her degree in Art from the University of Guadalajara in 1999-with a major in Painting.  She embodies the spirit of the  renaissance, an individual that offers up her  work to God as a prefix to perfection.

Lobo is a practitioner of acupuncture who decisively understood the ancient art and applied it to her work.

Lyana is a women of sensuality, complexity, alluring and private.  Lyana was an enchantress, a liberated women who emerged as a profound thinker; in addition to being a caring individual, she was known for her  insightful mind.  She embraced freedom, greatness and rebirth as she transition to the ethereal on February 21, 2014.  And now an entity enrolled in the cathedral of knowledge, her purpose has become to improve people, to vault them to greater thoughts, with spectral effects on all those that gaze upon her work.

An emerging new photographic artist whose lens captures the hue of urban/rural settings and the individuals whose personal dynamics collide in a kinetic fashion with the everyday experience and the hope of a phantom escape.  

These urbanist understand the true meaning of the word hope.  It connotes failure and it connotes success.  Their belief,  desire, and  intentions takes them or not; what is the power of their mind?  Is their vision greater than their sight? Is their heart stronger than the blood it pumps?   Is their step forward, or is it back,  or their hands raised to the heavens,  or placed graveling upon the ground? 

The ability of LM enters into concert with the foils of her subjects.  The perplexities of these individuals to experience a dream and its delusions.  They bring with them an unconscious notion that this will never happen for them and it creates a barrier.  This barrier is nothing more than a consciousness that their unconscious mind has agreed upon.  The servant of their unconscious mind is their hope, their demon, and their redemption.
